The first Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru loved children a lot and was fondly called ‘Chacha Nehru' which means Uncle Nehru. Jawaharlal Nehru believed that it was important to love children because they are the future of India. That why pt. Jawaharlal Nehru told everybody the importance of children's day 

This is why Children’s Day is celebrated every year on 14th November, which is his birthday. Indian politician Mr. V.K. Krishna Menon suggested the idea of a universal Children's Day. This idea was then adopted by the United Nations General Assembly. On the date of November 20th the Declaration of the Child Rights was adopted by the U.N. General Assembly.

This is why all around the world the children's day celebrated on 20 November. However, in India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru's birthday was declared as Children's Day on 14th November. In India there are many schools, colleges where teachers become students. Schools celebrate children day by cultural programmes in which teachers get involved and perform for the students. Special television and radio programmes are aired for children on this day. children celebrate this day as,  a day of joy, freedom and fun.

Many government departments, corporate institutions and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) announce various schemes and organize a variety of competitions and events like sports, arts, etc for the children. Children's Day in India is celebrated to remember that it is very important to love children and give them proper guidance. If the environment and laws in a country are not good, then children will not be happy while growing up and India will not progress. If environment and laws are proper and work to make India safe then the children will be happy while growing up. 

Importance of children's day responsibility .


This is our responsibility. Today importance of children's day to remember to keep children happy and safe. In India there are many children suffer from problems such as poverty, death due to starvation,  poor health, limited education, crimes such as kidnapping, sexual abuse, etc. We must spread awareness about such problems and try to solve them.
